While I knew Tony was doing a great job in helping us find and buy our dream home, it wasn’t until a few months later that I truly appreciated what an outstanding job he had done. Shortly after Tony helped us get into our dream home, I had to go through the process of selling our former home in Northern VA. While the real estate agents up there did an admirable job, the depth of knowledge and attention to detail that Tony had brought to the job really jumped out at my wife and as we worked with other agents. He was able to use his former military experience to really focus on the nitty gritty attention to detail issues while also being incredibly deft and understanding in dealing with clients who are going through an incredibly stressful process. My wife and I worked with Heather for over 3 months. During this time, not once did she not answer the phone or email. If we needed to talk to her in the evening, she would state that she would call after she took care of her family and then she would help us 'till 10 o'clock at night. No-time was a bad time to Heather!
In the latter part of my career in the military, so many times missions would fail because someone took for granted that the other person "got the email" or "got the text" and would not follow up with a phone call or physically check to see if something was done. Heather does not have that problem. She has an amazing communication ability. She took nothing for granted and would always follow up. If we asked her a question, (and we asked some doozies!) she would quickly follow up with us through email with a phone call confirmation. She would physically go to the property to check on something for us; no matter where the property was. She would ask anybody anything for us, and then follow up with us to see if we needed anything else.
She is just an amazing professional, real estate agent, and now an amazing friend.

As I sit here in our beautiful new home, I can't help but reflect on how everything worked out to bring us here. My gratefulness specifically goes out to our realtor, Janie Peterson. I've known Janie casually through some mutual friends and was immediately comfortable around her. It's not difficult to see that she gives everyone she speaks with her undivided attention. Since then I have had the pleasure to get to know her better and knew that if we had the opportunity to buy a home in the Richmond area, she would be our realtor.
