For my role as Operations Manager at Team Hensley, I draw upon my 40+ years of business experience, 35 of which were in the restaurant industry. My chain restaurant career was upwardly populated with many people and experiences which influenced my growth.
I starting as a leasing operator of my own unit which moved to multi-unit management and finished with 15 years as a Regional Manager overseeing 55-60 restaurants with varying geography configurations, frequently starting up new areas, and moving on to other opportunities.
My last few years in the restaurant industry were completed as a Regional Management Trainer, some of the most challenging and rewarding years interacting and developing new management people in procedures policies and management principles.
Later, Annemarie recruited me from a typical retiree type job in early 2012 to be her office support person. A brave and bold step on her part but it has been satisfactory for both of us.
What does an operations manager do? Whatever needs to be done!
On the personal side, I have been married for over 55 years to Fran who has raised four children and now has nine terrific grandchildren.
We look forward to our annual vacation trip which has taken us to many interesting countries around the world.
